Side Quest: Calling all Market Hosts & Seasoned Vendors
Share your market stories
I'm collecting stories from market hosts and seasoned vendors for a research project I'm doing for funsies. I'd love to eventually compile the stories together in a book! If you are ever up for a more in depth interview, let me know at the end of the form!
Two short forms, ~5–10 minutes each. Your honest answers might turn into a longer conversation later, or even a video interview if you are open to it!
Insights around your experience with markets
About Creative Avenue
Creative Avenue NW in an independent platform producing curated pop-up markets around Skagit Valley.
Summer MakersFest is our biggest event of the season, bringing together 40+ local artists, designers, and small-batch makers for a single day of shopping at Maple Hall in downtown La Conner.
Our crew is the reason the day works. You're the first face vendors see in the morning and the calm hand on the floor when things get busy.
Creative Avenue Markets began in 2021, founded by Frannie Bigge. She has hosted over 3 dozen markets since she began and is committed to creating experiences where vendors feel supported and welcome.

For Market Hosts
If you run a market, whether it's handmade, vintage, food, pop-up, themed, or whatever shape it takes, I'd love to hear your side of this world!
Eight short questions about the work, the why, and the parts no one sees. Skip anything that doesn't fit. The more honest, the better.
For Seasoned Vendors
If you've vended at enough markets to have some opinions... favorites, horror stories, the hosts who treated you well, or something unexpected - I'd love to hear from you!
