Creative Avenue Summer Market in La Conner 2026? Artists & Makers: I Need Your Input

After a bit of a hiatus from organizing markets, I’m starting to feel that familiar itch again.

Starting in 2021, I organized monthly artisan markets around Skagit County, and those events brought together some incredibly talented artists and makers. They were always a mix of creativity, connection, and a little bit of organized chaos in the best possible way.

Since closing the Creative Hub storefront, I’ve been giving myself some time to think about what the next chapter of Creative Avenue looks like. One thing that keeps coming back to me is how much I love creating spaces where artists can share their work, meet new customers, and connect with each other.

So I’m starting to explore the idea of bringing back a Creative Avenue Summer MakerFest market, and one location that feels especially promising is Maple Hall in La Conner.

If you’ve never been there, Maple Hall is a beautiful historic building right in the heart of town. La Conner in the summer is always lively with visitors wandering through shops, grabbing ice cream, and enjoying the waterfront. It feels like the kind of place where a big, creative market could really thrive.

Before I start locking in dates or opening vendor applications, I’d love to hear directly from artists and makers first.

Rather than guessing what people want, it seemed smarter to just ask.

The weekends I’m currently considering are:

July 11, July 25, or August 15

I’m also curious about something else.

Would artists prefer:

A one day market, simple and easy

or • A full weekend market (Saturday and Sunday) with setup on Friday night

There are pros and cons to both formats. A one day market can be easier for artists who are juggling family schedules, travel, or other commitments. A full weekend market can give vendors more time with customers and make the effort of setting up feel more worthwhile, while also being a bit more spendy up front on the booth fee.

Instead of making that decision in a vacuum, I’d love your input.

Below you’ll find a short poll where you can vote on which dates and format would work best.

And if you’re an artist or maker who might want to participate, there’s also a spot where you can leave your email so I can send vendor application details once they open.

It only takes about 30 seconds, and your feedback will genuinely help shape the event.

If you know an artist or maker who might want to join a summer market in La Conner, feel free to share this page with them too.
