STEP 1: LET ME KNOW YOUR PREFERRED DROP-OFF WINDOW
Morning drop-off sign-up
To keep the curb in front of Maple Hall moving smoothly, we're staggering load-in.
Pick the 30-minute window that works best for you based on how much setup time you need. I'll follow up to assign a specific 15-minute arrival time inside that window (e.g. if you pick 7:00–7:30 AM, I'll assign you either 7:00 or 7:15 AM).
-
Curbside in front of Maple Hall is for quick unloading only - 10 minutes or less, please.
-
Bring everything inside (or to the door) before moving your car. Don't set up your booth until your vehicle is moved.
-
After unloading, move your car to the free city lot one block away (every vendor gets a FREE parking voucher).
-
There's a small lot next to the building that might be open to park to unload, but it's not guaranteed - local employees often fill it on Saturday mornings.
-
All vendors should be fully set up and market-ready by 9:45 AM.
-
If you're running late, please let Frannie know so we can adjust.
STEP 2: FIND YOUR BOOTH
Floor Maps & Tour
Maple Hall has two floors. The second floor can be accessed by an elevator or two different flights of stairs. Check in at the Welcome Desk if you have any questions finding your booth. Booths are labeled and marked with painters tape on the ground. All booths are shoulder to shoulder.
Final layouts will be sent the week of the market and will also be updated here.
These maps are subject to change and may not be 100% accurate until 2 weeks before the event, but here's the general footprint so you can plan.

Forgot your booth assignment?
If you don't see your name on the maps above, please reach out to confirm your booth placement and booth size. Assignments shift frequently up to ~2 weeks out, so a polished shareable map will come closer to market day.
How to read your booth size
The first number is width, the second is depth. Example: 12 × 2.5 = 12 ft wide × 2.5 ft deep.
The video below is a full tour of the venue. Reach out if you have any questions!

STEP 3: PARK YOUR CAR
Parking & your free voucher
Vendor parking lot - one block away
After unloading, please move your vehicle to the designated vendor lot about a block (0.1 miles away) from Maple Hall. This keeps street parking open for shoppers all day.
-
Every registered vendor gets one free parking voucher good for the full day.
-
Pick up your voucher from the welcome table when you arrive or even better, print it from home and save time!
-
Place it on your dashboard, visible from outside.

Parking for loading/unloading
There are a few options of where you will be able to temporarily park your car to unload during setup. The form at the top of this page is the sign up for what time you want to drop off. Some of you will be assigned to the front main entrance, and a few others will be assigned to the parking by the kitchen access door (a more direct route for certain booths. See the videos below for more info.
THE VENUE
Inside Maple Hall
Power & outlets
Outlets are available for most vendors with a wall booth. If you need power and aren't on the wall, please bring a battery pack for any plug-in items you need.
Wi-Fi & cell service
Wi-Fi is available; cell coverage in La Conner is generally reliable for card readers.
Wi-Fi Password: maple20ten01
Food & breaks
Plenty of cafes and restaurants are within a 2-minute walk. We'll have water and light snacks at the vendor table.
Booth size
Booth sizes vary. See the map above for your booth placement. The first number is the width and second number is the booth depth.
Payments
Most shoppers expect to pay by card, while many will pay cash for lower priced items. Bring your card reader, setup Venmo or Paypal, or whatever you'd like to use for payments. Vendors also need to supply their own small bills for change. There is NOT an ATM close by.
Trash & breakdown
Please pack out anything large. Bins are available for normal waste. Don't begin breakdown before 4 PM out of respect for fellow vendors and late shoppers.
Tables & chairs
Vendors need to provide their own tables and linens.
There *are* chairs available. If you use one, please return it to the storage room at the end of the day.
Accessibility
Maple Hall is ADA accessible. Let me know about any accommodations you need for load-in or your booth space.
Loading & storage
Save your back and bring a cart to help you move stuff to your booth. Stash empty bins under your table, or if you need extra storage - let me know.

SPREAD THE WORD
Social Media Kit
While I am frequently sharing on social media and in my newsletter... Vendor sharing makes a huge difference in turnout. Grab the graphics below, copy the sample caption, and tag me - I'll re-share everything I get tagged in.
Download graphics
Select the image thumbnail to open it. Right-click to Save, or tap and hold on mobile.
Most are 4:5 sizes which are great for Facebook, Instagram, and NextDoor. There is also a square image as well if that is your preferred size! Choose your favorites to share!
Best Practices for Social Media
-
Always include date, time, and location in every caption - people scroll fast and no matter how many times you share the same post, the ONE time you don't include all the details someone will comment "Where is it?
-
Tag @creativeavenue.nw so I can re-share to my followers.
-
Post 2–3 times (or more): a save-the-date 3+ weeks out, a sneak peek of what you're bringing the week of, and a day-of reminder.
-
Share to your Stories the day before and/or morning of the market with the venue location sticker (Maple Hall, La Conner).
-
Use a real photo of your work alongside the graphic - algorithms favor faces and authentic content.
-
Invite local friends to the Facebook event individually - group invites convert way better than feed posts.

BONUS NOTES FROM FRANNIE
Little things that make a huge difference
Bring a dolly or wagon if you've got one. It's a short walk from the curb but you'll thank yourself bringing your setup to your booth area.
Pack a sweater layer and comfortable shoes. The hall stays cool in the morning.
Business cards + a way to capture emails. Many shoppers want to follow up.
Tape, scissors, zip ties, a Sharpie, price tags if you use them... your future self will be grateful.
Because I am a planner, I love lists. I made a Craft Market Checklist that you can use too! Download it here.
Weights aren't required indoors, but if you have a tall display, secure it.
Snacks, water, and a small first-aid kit (always good to have at any event)
A small mirror if you sell jewelry or wearables.
Signage with your prices. Shoppers are far more likely to buy when prices are visible.
Quick Answers
Q: Can I share a booth or bring a helper?
Helpers are welcome and encouraged. Booth sharing must be approved in advance as we need to vet all vendors. Please email me to discuss in more detail.
Q: Can I leave early if I sell out?
Please plan to stay through 4 PM. Breaking down early disrupts neighboring booths and disappoints shoppers who came late.
Q: Do you collect sales tax?
You're (all vendors) responsible for collecting and remitting WA state sales tax for your own sales. The consignment booths: we will collect tax on your items unless otherwise noted.
Q: Will there be a vendor list or marketing?
Yes, I love promoting the vendors! I'll promote the market on social and tag participating vendors. I will use the photos you submitted in your application. If you'd like me to use something else, please send via email.
Q: What if I can't make it?
Please tell me as soon as possible so I can adjust the layout and find an available vendor on the waiting list to fill the spot. Booths are refundable up until 4 weeks before the event. They are non-refundable and non-transferrable after that point.
REQUIRED BEFORE YOU SELL
City of La Conner Business License Endorsement
All accepted vendors are required to obtain a City of La Conner Department of Revenue (DOR) endorsement and provide a copy prior to the event. This is required for this specific venue (not our rules, sorry!)
It takes about 10 days to receive your endorsement after you submit your paperwork online. We need a copy of your endorsement to provide to the venue by FRIDAY JUNE 26th!
You can complete the endorsement online here:
https://dor.wa.gov/manage-business/city-endorsements/la-conner
Here's what that looks like:
Gross Annual Income in La Conner - Endorsement Fee
Under $4,000 - $0 - free endorsement
$4,000 or above - $75
END OF DAY
Your Cleanup Responsibilities
Leave it like you found it.
-
All of your items, displays, and any trash from your booth must be removed by 5:30 PM.
-
If you used a chair or table from the venue, please return it to where you grabbed it from.
-
There is no on-site dumpster. You are responsible for taking your garbage with you.
-
Vendors who leave trash or damage the space may be held responsible for additional fees and will not be invited back.
Still have questions?
Reach out via email! I'd rather you ask than wonder. Email is the best way to reach me. I will provide my cell the week of the event if anything happens on the day-of the market and you need to reach me more urgently.
